A podcast for creative people navigating AI.

Everyone's asking "what will AI do next?" I think we're asking the wrong question.

My name is Yann. I've made a career out of creativity. Branding, advertising, design, experiential. I've started agencies and worked for many others. Today I'm in California, leading a team of creative technologists building tools, platforms and experiences for some of the most audacious brands in the world.

For over twenty years I've watched this industry reinvent itself. Digital. The internet. Social media. Web3. Immersive. And now AI.

It's no secret the industry is in deep disruption. My own journey with AI started a decade ago. We studied whether AI could take on human creativity. The results were startling. They led to articles, to talks, and eventually a stage at SXSW in front of 900 people.

Human creativity is on the brink of massive disruption. We may need to redefine its purpose. — SXSW Keynote

That was a few years ago. The questions it raised became the reason I started sharing the stories of creative people who are having AI 'For Breakfast' — shaping this technology to empower their own missions.

So instead of asking "what will AI do next?" I went looking for the people asking: how are we going to use AI to create the future we actually want? A future that stays human. Creative. Cultural, joyful, always fresh and full of surprise.

No hype. No doom. Just a frank conversation about how we shape what comes next, before it shapes us.

Will AI ever have real emotional depth? Has the creative industry been put on notice? I wanted to find people who were actually wrestling with these questions. Not theorising. Doing.

Join us for breakfast.

[ FB.03 ] About Yann

Twenty years building things that shouldn't exist yet.

Interactive AI experiences for 40,000 people at Dreamforce. A vehicle interface that made it into production at Ford. The most downloaded VR app in its category for Amazon Prime Video. An on-device AI system that ran live during a Qualcomm keynote without touching the cloud.

When organisations are fractured by politics, competing priorities, or too many voices in the room, Yann's process creates the conditions for consensus — not by compromising the idea, but by finding the one that makes every stakeholder want to say yes. He has done this across some of the most complex organisations in the world: aligning product, marketing, and engineering at Ford; bridging the divide between Cisco and its most frustrated customers; uniting eight hundred people in a room at SXSW around a single, startling idea.

He doesn't talk about AI. He builds with it — and uses it to find the creative whitespace that no algorithm can reach. The ideas that live in that space are the ones audiences remember, clients champion, and competitors cannot replicate.

Yann has spoken at SXSW, SAE International, UCLA Health, Art Center College of Design, and to audiences of over 900 at a time. His keynotes are not presentations. They are experiences — designed with the same methodology he brings to every brief: go deep on the why, find the unfair advantage, build something irresistible, and measure everything.

He also hosts For Breakfast, a podcast exploring how the creative industry shapes AI on its own terms. With gaining over 15,000 YouTube subscribers in the first 6 months and a global audience of designers, directors, and brand leaders, he brings both the thinking and the proof of an active practitioner.

What is the For Breakfast podcast?

+

For Breakfast is a podcast hosted by Yann Caloghiris exploring how the creative industry shapes AI on its own terms. Each episode features a designer, director, strategist, filmmaker, or technologist who is using AI deliberately with their values intact. It is available on YouTube at @forbreakfastclub and across all major podcast platforms.

What is Yann Caloghiris's background?

+

Yann Caloghiris is the Chief Experience Officer (CXO) at Left Field Labs, a part of Stagwell Group. Over twenty years he has led creative organisations across branding, advertising, design, and experiential, started agencies, and delivered work for some of the world's most demanding brands. His work with AI began a decade ago when he led research into whether AI could take on human creativity — research that culminated in a presentation at SXSW and a white paper that has shaped his thinking ever since.

What is Yann's methodology?

+

Yann's approach centres on finding the creative whitespace that AI cannot reach. He uses AI to map the known competitive and cultural territory with precision, then deploys human creativity, cultural empathy, and deliberate process to find and occupy the space beyond it. His Concept-Led process systematically identifies the client's unfair advantage, aligns stakeholders around a single irresistible direction, and delivers measurable outcomes. Every project is prototyped, tested, and iterated before delivery.

What is the 'whitespace imperative'?

+

The Whitespace Imperative is Yann's central creative philosophy: AI is derivative by nature, working from what already exists. The ideas that change industries — the ones that stop rooms, that clients fight to own, that competitors cannot replicate — live in the whitespace beyond what any model can generate. Yann's process systematically finds that space and builds there.
